My Wife & I went to Dinkins Castleblayney for a lunch along our 3 month old Baby. Whilst we were sitting in our seat, the staff had a radio blaring Club music (to the point were couldnt hear each other talk). I asked the staff if they could please lower the volume as we couldn't hear each other speak, and had a 3 month old. The person in charge (older lady) told us we couldn't turn it down because "people didnt want to hear eachother talk?". And she proceeded to turn it up further. We left and took our business elsewhere across the road to the Cozy Cafe. Rude Staff total disregard for customers, and a Baby. Shame on You.
Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate that everyone has different preferences when it comes to the atmosphere in a café environment. We do provide background music in our cafés as many customers enjoy it, and it also helps create a welcoming atmosphere while offering a degree of privacy for conversations between customers seated nearby.
The volume of the music is generally kept at a consistent level throughout the day, and we have not received similar feedback regarding it previously. However, we are disappointed to hear that you felt your concerns were not addressed in the manner you expected, as this is certainly not the experience we wish any customer to have.
We value all feedback and will remind our team to remain mindful of customer comfort and requests wherever possible.
